Privacy Policy

This is a template. It is provided for transparency and as a starting point only, and does not constitute legal advice. Have it reviewed by qualified counsel before relying on it.
This Privacy Policy explains how SPR Labs Ltd (“SortCreators”, “we”, “us”), a company registered in England & Wales, collects, uses, shares, and protects personal data when you use SortCreators (the “Service”). We act as a data controller for the personal data described below. For the purposes of UK GDPR and the EU GDPR, our processing is described here.
1. What we collect
- Public handles & profile data — the social handles you connect and the niches, hobbies, and content types you add to your profile.
- Public post metadata — engagement counts, captions, audio used, and posting cadence drawn from your public content. We do not collect login-walled or private content.
- Account & contact data — your email address and, for authenticated users, basic account settings.
- Payout details — the information needed to pay you, processed through our payment providers (e.g. Stripe Connect or PayPal account identifiers). We do not store full card numbers.
- Usage & technical data — log data, device/browser information, and IP address, used to operate and secure the Service.
2. How we use your data
- To operate the marketplace and match Creators with brands.
- To track and aggregate the public performance of connected content so brands can evaluate fit and ROI.
- To process payouts and platform fees.
- To communicate with you about your account, campaigns, and support.
- To secure the Service, prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations.
Our lawful bases are: performance of a contract (operating your account and campaigns), legitimate interests (running and securing the marketplace, surfacing aggregate performance signals from public data), consent (where you opt in to tracking your public content at onboarding), and legal obligation (tax and compliance records).
3. What we share with brands
We share with brands your public handles, niches, and aggregate ROI ranges so they can evaluate and invite you to campaigns. We do notshare your private payouts, your rate floor, what other brands paid you, your raw engagement counts, or any campaign name from a brand that isn’t the one viewing your profile. Brands receive only what they need to make a campaign decision.
4. Third parties we use
- Apify — collects publicly available post metadata on our behalf (public content only).
- Stripe & PayPal — process Creator payouts and brand payments under their own privacy terms.
- Supabase — database and authentication hosting.
- Sentry — error monitoring and diagnostics.
These providers process data under contracts that require appropriate safeguards. Where data is transferred outside the UK/EEA, we rely on appropriate transfer mechanisms (such as Standard Contractual Clauses).
5. Data retention
When a Creator leaves the network, we delist the profile from the marketplace promptly and retain historical performance data for twelve months after delisting for brand-side audit and dispute resolution, after which it is purged. We retain account, payout, and tax records for as long as required to meet our legal and accounting obligations.
6. Your rights
Under UK and EU GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, and port your personal data, to object to processing based on legitimate interests, and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise the right to erasure, a Creator can delist from the marketplace, which begins the purge process described above. To make any request, email support@sortcreators.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) or your local supervisory authority.
7. Cookies
We use strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in and to secure the Service, and limited analytics to understand usage. We do not sell your personal data. Where required, we ask for consent before setting non-essential cookies, and you can control cookies through your browser settings.
8. Children
The Service is not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, notify you through the Service.
10. Contact
For privacy questions or to exercise your rights, email support@sortcreators.com or use our contact form. SPR Labs Ltd, registered in England & Wales, is the data controller.
